Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Fernlo pre-launch waitlist, website, and (once launched) the Fernlo app. By joining or using Fernlo you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Fernlo is operated from Australia by the individual behind Fernlo.app@gmail.com. If we incorporate a company or change operators, we'll update this page. All notices to us should go to that email.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist or use Fernlo. We collect your date of birth at sign-up to verify this. Accounts we discover to belong to anyone under 18 will be removed.

3. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the app. Fernlo activates suburb by suburb once a local node reaches its activation threshold. We may change or delay activation timelines at our discretion.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity on your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other people, on or off the app.
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity.
• Send spam, scrape data, or interfere with the service.
• Use Fernlo for anything unlawful.

We can suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, without notice.

6. Meeting in person

Fernlo helps you meet other people locally. You are solely responsible for your decisions about who to meet, where, and how. Meet in public, tell someone you trust, and use good judgement.

7. Content you share

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting on Fernlo you grant us a limited licence to display and distribute it within the service so it can function.

8. Service changes

Fernlo is under active development. Features may change or be removed. We may also suspend or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

9. Disclaimer

Fernlo is provided "as is". We make no warranties about the service and don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fernlo and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

You can leave at any time by emailing us to delete your account. We can terminate access at any time if you breach these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify you by email or in the app.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising from your use of Fernlo will be handled in the courts of Australia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

14. Complaints

If something's gone wrong, please email us first at Fernlo.app@gmail.com with a short description and we'll aim to respond within 7 days. If you're in Australia and can't resolve a privacy complaint with us, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
